An architect’s own home is their testing ground, and I highly recommend the experience. I’ve always been fascinated by building, and this project gave me a space to explore my ideas and ideology. I'm glad I completed this home early in my career, while starting a young family and managing a few other ventures.

This home reflects my appreciation for the environment, simple materials, and craftsmanship. It’s filled with natural light and centered around an internal hallway—which, in hindsight, I would have made slightly wider, with an additional door to separate it from the kitchen.

I built this with the intention of it being a 20-year home, and it's almost there. If I were to do it again today, I might make it a little smaller and use more natural materials with a simpler, less refined palette. It’s a joy to live in, and like many of our clients, I feel privileged to call it home.
